Western Illinois University is cutting dozens of teaching positions as it continues to deal with reductions in state funding and declines in enrollment.
The school in Macomb says 24 instructors are being laid off… and another 62 vacant teaching positions will not be filled and will be eliminated. The school also warns that additional layoffs are possible.
