Weather is always a factor to be considered when putting on a major event like a pro golf tournament. But this year, the Lincoln Land Charity Championship isn’t worried about the threat of storms as much as it’s concerned about problems from extreme heat.
A heat advisory is in effect for Friday and Saturday… with possible heat index readings of 110 degrees or higher. Tournament director Kate Peters says large fans and misting devices will be deployed… and the event is taking all precautions to make sure players, volunteers and spectators stay hydrated and safe. The tournament runs through Sunday at Panther Creek Country Club.
