A missing persons advocacy group is urging friends and family of a missing kayaker to not to give up… and to keep the public’s attention focused until Shane Shomidie is found.
It’s been more than a week since the MMA fighter disappeared in the Sangamon River… and hundreds of searchers have been out every day since then. Some evidence has turned up… including one of Shomidie’s shoes.
The National Missing Persons Network is encouraging volunteers to keep looking for other evidence…but to do so in groups, to stay out of the water, and to avoid situations that could put themselves in danger.
