A GoFundMe account has been set up to assist the family of a Chatham first-grader who died in a sledding accident in Northern Illinois.
Six-year-old Karly Pearce died in that accident in Galena. She’s the daughter of Chatham police officer Ryan Pearce and is also survived by her mother Kim and a four-year-old sister.
The Chatham Police Department set up the account to defray medical and funeral expenses for the family.
