Accused State Senator Could Be Kicked Off Ballot

He’s been accused of sexual harassment… and now Democratic state Senator Ira Silverstein has more problems.

NBC Chicago reports that a challenge to his nominating petitions has left him 45 valid signatures short of the number needed to get on the March ballot.

Unless Silverstein can get sworn affidavits from 45 people whose signatures were disputed, he could be tossed off the ballot.
