The victim of a street attack in Springfield earlier this week has died of his injuries.
70-year-old Albert Cole died Wednesday night, about 36 hours after he was attacked near 12th and Melrose. 27-year-old Andrew Brady, who lives near the scene of the attack, was arrested Wednesday and will now face first-degree murder charges.
Springfield police still have not released information about a possible motive in the attack.
