Yet again, Springfield schools have been disrupted by bomb threats.
The latest incidents happened Thursday afternoon. A call came into Southeast High School around 1:20pm. While District 186 officials say there was no danger to students or staff, the building was evacuated as a precaution anyway. Parents were notified but urged to leave the students at school. The all-clear was given less than 90 minutes after the threat was received.
Near the end of the school day, another threat was received at Springfield High School, which had been evacuated two days earlier after a similar threat. After-school activities were canceled. Springfield police are investigating whether the latest threats are connected to those received earlier this week or earlier in the school year.
