Once again, multiple Springfield schools have been evacuated, and the school day disrupted, by a phoned-in bomb threat.
Springfield High and Grant Middle School were evacuated after threats came in around 10:45 Tuesday morning. SHS students were taken to the field adjacent to the school; GMS students were evacuated to the SH-G West Campus.
District 186 says students are not being dismissed, as it does not believe the threat is credible. Officials say the school day will resume once a search is completed.
[UPDATE 12:20pm: Situation resolved at Grant Middle School and students are returning to class. Dismissal will be at the regular time, and after-school activities will continue as scheduled.]
