First off, we want to thank everyone who submitted nominations for Warming The Hearts of Springfield, we’ve narrowed the selections down to our final six nominees!
Vote for the person/family who you feel deserves a brand new HVAC system from Rheem and Heartland Heating & Cooling of Springfield. The person/family who receives the most votes will win the system, valued up to $12,000.
Voting is open from Monday, January 8 at 6:00AM through Wednesday, January 17 at 11:59PM. The winner will be announced on Friday, January 19 at approximately 7:15AM.
Nominee # 1
A single mom with a disabled 12-year-old son. Mom has it very tough as it is with her son and working a fulltime job with a furnace that just went out. She’s using space heaters. Son on oxygen 24/7.
Nominee # 2
Nominee has three children and her home was severely damaged in a house fire on 12/05/2017. This would help her get back on her feet tremendously!
Nominee # 3
Nominee is a widow with children and is struggling to get by. She is kind and giving despite her situation. This would really help her.
Nominee # 4
Nominee is social worker/therapist at Lincoln Prairie who works with troubled teen girls. Born with spina bifida. Uses wheelchair for mobility. Current HVAC system 45 years old. Her husband works entry level position with State Family Services. Teen daughter hoping for college next year.
Nominee # 5
My mother, who took in my brother & his 4 kids my oldest son with autism lives with her & my daughters 2 kids also live with her & she baby-sitting my other son & a boy with down syndrome I love her so much she is awesome.
Nominee # 6
Nominees were high school sweethearts who found each other again later in life. On their one year anniversary, Nominee was deployed. Wife stays busy with six children, working full-time and volunteering in various community projects. Nominees live each day to make this a better world for everyone.
