On April 21, 2018, men from all walks of life across Central Illinois will walk one mile in women’s high-heeled shoes through the streets of Downtown Springfield to raise awareness about rape and sexual assault and to rally the community to take action to prevent sexual violence.

Proceeds from sponsored walkers in the event will benefit Prairie Center Against Sexual Assault’s violence prevention efforts, and rape crisis services in 11 Central Illinois counties.

Registration for Walk A Mile In Her Shoes on April 21, will begin at 9:30 AM with the walk officially stepping off at 10:45 AM. The rally at the Illinois State Capitol will begin at approximately 11:15 AM with the after-party at The Alamo!
