A U.S. Supreme Court ruling Tuesday casts doubt on the future of an Illinois law that regulates pro-life crisis pregnancy centers. The High Court struck down a California law requiring those facilities, which oppose abortion, to provide information about the procedure to those seeking pregnancy care services.
A similar Illinois law is the target of litigation alleging that the rule violates the free speech rights of staffers at crisis pregnancy centers… but supporters of the law say it simply requires that a full range of information be provided, the same standard that applies to all medical facilities across the board.
