It’s another warning about fireworks… with a twist. The state Department of Natural Resources is reminding people who sponsor fireworks displays to make sure the companies they are dealing with have the required licenses and permits from the state.
DNR has licensed more than 900 vendors to put on public fireworks displays, and periodically inspects them to make sure they are properly storing and handling the explosives.
Putting on big displays without the proper permits could lead to fines and potentially jail time.
