Still No Decision In Janus Case

Defying expectations, the U.S. Supreme Court handed down opinions on the last Monday of June… but the long-awaited Janus v. AFSCME case was not among them.
That final Monday of June has in recent years been the last day of the Supreme Court term, and the day when its remaining big decisions are handed down. But the justices are taking more time before issuing their decision on the case that will determine whether public sector workers in union jobs will still be required to pay “fair share” fees, even if they don’t wish to join the union. The case originated in Illinois but will have ramifications for unions around the country.

More opinions will be handed down Tuesday, but it’s not known if that will definitely be the day for a decision on Janus.
