Rounding out the top three are Galesburg poet Carl Sandburg and sci-fi novelist Ray Bradbury of Waukegan. The list, chosen by online voting, also includes Downstate author Edgar Lee Masters and “Tarzan” creator Edgar Rice Burroughs.
