Both of Illinois’s Democratic U.S. Senators are skeptical of President Trump’s latest moves on the treatment of families coming across the border with Mexico. Dick Durbin says the executive order does not solve the crisis that Trump created, and offers no real guarantee that families will be kept together.
Meanwhile, Tammy Duckworth says the order paves the way for indefinite detention of children. She’s also calling for Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen to resign… accusing her of lying to the American people about the administration’spolicies and their effects.
