Trump Administration’s Policy on Immigrant Children Causing Waves in Illinois Politics

The Trump administration’s controversial policy of separating children and parents at the border is now making waves in Illinois politics. Democratic governor candidate J.B. Pritzker is demanding that Governor Bruce Rauner rescind his earlier agreement to allow Illinois National Guardsmen to assist in border patrol activities.

Democratic congressional candidate Betsy Dirksen Londrigan says Congressman Rodney Davis has not done enough to block the policy… which Davis says he opposes, but which he blames on congressional Democrats.

And Attorney General Lisa Madigan has issued a statement demanding that U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions immediately end the policy he announced in April.
