Formal charges have been filed against the man suspected of two fatal shootings over the weekend in Springfield. Prosecutors have charged 38-year-old Jason Danenberger with four counts of first-degree murder and one count of unlawful possession of an automobile.
He’s accused of fatally shooting his roommate, 53-year-old Thomas Podzounas (pod-ZOO-nuss), and killing another man, 47-year-old John Buecker (BYOO-ker). Authorities also believe Danenberger was using Buecker’s vehicle after the killing.
Authorities still have not revealed a possible motive for the killings. Danenberger remains held on $5 million bond… his next court appearance is set for July 5th.
