The search that led to the arrest of the suspect in two weekend killings included some harrowing moments for customers of a Riverton bar.
Sangamon County deputies had gotten a tip that the suspect they were seeking was in Dockers Lounge in Riverton… so officers cleared out the bar at gunpoint and checked each customer individually outside. But the suspect wasn’t there… he was apprehended a short time later at the nearby Lucky Horseshoe Mobile Home Park.
Sheriff Wes Barr says deputies handled the search properly, given that the suspect they were seeking was thought to be armed and dangerous.
