McCann Still Gathering Signatures for Third Party Governor Race

He’s got less than two weeks to submit thousands of petition signatures… but state Senator Sam McCann says that effort is on track. McCann is hoping to get on the ballot as a third-party candidate for governor in a newly-established Conservative Party.

That would require turning in 25,000 valid signatures by June 25th . McCann tells a Peoria TV station that the petition effort is going really well, and he’s confident he will meet the deadline.
