Kellogg’s Recalls Honey Smacks Due to Salmonella Concerns

At least one person in Illinois has gotten sick in the latest multi-state salmonella outbreak… this one linked to breakfast cereal. There have been a total of 73 reported cases in 31 states… with many of those who became ill reporting that they had eaten Kellogg’s Honey Smacks cereal.

Kellogg’s is voluntarily recalling 15.3 ounce and 23 ounce packages of Honey Smacks. State health officials say if you have any in your pantry, you should just throw it out… even if you’ve already eaten some and didn’t get sick.
