For the first time in the organization’s history, the Illinois Association of Future Farmers of America has elected its first all-female governing body.
The Illinois Major State Officer Team was chosen during the young farmers’ group’s convention in Springfield this week.
The team, from president to reporter, will defer going to college for a year to tour the state and help organize Illinois FFA chapters.
