The Illinois jobless rate is down again… for the fifth month in a row. Unemployment dipped one-tenth of one-percent in May to 4.3 percent… the state’s best showing since September of 2006.
Illinois added 86-hundred jobs last month, although that increase was somewhat offset by revised April numbers showing fewer jobs created that month than originally reported.
The biggest areas of job growth around the state were in education, government, and the financial sector.
