Congressman Rodney Davis will be the catcher at Thursday night’s congressional baseball game for charity… an event that comes one year to the day after a gunman opened fire on members of Congress who were practicing for the event.
Davis escaped harm in that shooting a year ago that injured one of his congressional colleagues and some staffers… but says he remains haunted by the incident.
During Thursday’s event in Washington, DC, Davis will wear the jersey of Illinois State University, one of a number of colleges and universities in his congressional district.
