A group of conservative Illinois lawmakers and legislative candidates are calling on Illinois Democrats to force House Speaker Mike Madigan to step down.
The group… led by outgoing state Representative Jeanne Ives… says Madigan’s leadership created the culture that has led to multiple allegations of harassment under the Capitol Dome.
The lawmakers and candidates say they want Democrats to help them change the culture at the Statehouse… and say that can’t happen until Madigan is gone.
