
The next executive director of the Democratic Party of Illinois will have to pass muster with some of the most powerful women in the party.
Party chairman Mike Madigan has announced that the party’s 18 state central committeewomen will serve as the search committee to find a new director to replace Tim Mapes.
Mapes was Madigan’s right-hand man in his political and government operations, but was forced out this week after being accused of harassing and sexist conduct.
