Two people have been arrested on multiple charges after a home invasion in Springfield earlier this month. Police say the incident happened on May 12th in the 2500 block of South Fourth Street. A woman told police that she answered a knock on the door around midnight and two people forced their way in and struck her on the head repeatedly. They then stole a number of items from the home. Police have now arrested 25-year-old Christopher Nelson and 18-year-old Amanda Daily on charges of home invasion, residential burglary and aggravated battery. Police say the victim is recovering from her injuries.
