A 24-year-old woman who had worked as a teacher in District 186 is now facing criminal sexual assault charges for alleged contact with a juvenile male student in the District.
Springfield police arrested Kasi Korza on Monday. A statement from police does not provide details on when the alleged improper contact occurred.
District 186 says Korza was placed on unpaid leave after the allegations came to light. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
