Springfield Police have made an arrest in the case of a driver who allegedly hit a Springfield Police officer with his car, breaking the officer’s leg and foot.
56 year-old Richard Wanless is in custody and faces numerous charges in the early Monday morning incident. The unidentified officer—an 11 year veteran of the force—suffered a broken left foot and right leg.
