Around 700 Sherman residents lost power Friday when a semi took out power lines on a side street just off of Andrew Road. Sherman police say it happened on Parkway Drive in Sherman… a street that does not usually see commercial vehicle traffic.
The semi was too tall for the power lines and struck them, tearing them down and causing the outage. The incident closed Andrew Road for a while. Power was out for several hours before being restored.
