The deadline to pass a state budget for next year is just three-and-a-half weeks away…and Governor Bruce Rauner says progress is slow and frustrating.
But Rauner says work is going on behind the scenes with the so-called “budgeteers,” negotiators from the legislative and executive branches.
And Rauner says he will call another meeting with all four legislative leaders this week to discuss the status of budget talks, but he didn’t elaborate on the details.
