The City has unveiled a piece of Springfield, and Abraham Lincoln, history. Friday marked the first public viewing of what is labeled Interment Book Number One at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
It lists people who were laid to rest there… including Lincoln and his son Willie. The newly restored document will eventually be displayed at the Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum.
The Staab Family was also involved in the restoration project.
