Your Sangamon County property tax bill should be landing in your mailbox any day now. County Treasurer Tom Cavanagh says the bills are being printed and will be sent out in the next several days.
The average property tax bill in Sangamon County is just over 34-hundred dollars… and the first of two installments is due on June 8th .
Under changes in state law, most Sangamon County townships no longer have tax collectors, and residents in those affected townships will send their payments directly to the county treasurer’s office.
