Republican Leaders Demanding on Agreed Revenue Estimate

Republican legislative leaders are intensifying their demands for an agreed revenue estimate as a starting point for work on a new state budget.

Legislative leaders and Governor Bruce Rauner agreed a couple of weeks ago that they would adopt a formal revenue estimate… but the GOP says nothing has happened since then, despite multiple requests.

House Republican leader Jim Durkin says Republicans can “slow things down” in the legislature if Democrats won’t follow the law and adopt a revenue number as required by state law.
