Remains Found In Litchfield, No Apparent Connection To Missing Woman Case

Illinois State Police say the skeletal remains found Wednesday at Lake Lou Yeager in Litchfield do not appear to be related to the disappearance of a Macoupin County woman in January. A utility worker discovered the bones Wednesday afternoon… and multiple agencies combed the area looking for any additional evidence. The discovery immediately triggered speculation that the remains could be tied to the disappearance of Denita Hedden… but so far investigators have found no link.

There is still no indication of the age, race or sex of the skeletal remains, nor of how long they had been there.
