Republican lawmakers are pushing a bill that would make it easier for you to vote to reduce your property taxes.
State Senator Dan McConchie says voters need a way to have some direct ability to lower property taxes without having to vote in an entirely new board for various taxing bodies.
That ability to lower property taxes by direct referendum is a key component of Governor Bruce Rauner’s economic agenda for the state.
