Finally some good news out of the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy. State health officials say a norovirus outbreak at the facility last month is over.
About 20 people developed severe symptoms of stomach distress, but all have now recovered.
State officials say there is no evidence that the outbreak had anything to do with kitchen operations at the home. Most norovirus outbreaks hit long-term care or assisted living facilities, because person-to-person contact is so common there.
