There are now more than 80 cases statewide of uncontrolled bleeding related to the use of synthetic cannabis. Nearly half of the 81 cases come from Peoria and Tazewell Counties.
State health officials say 27 cases involve people between the ages of 25 and 34… while 16 cases are in the 15-to-24 age range.
Two people have died from use of the product, which was reportedly laced with rat poison. Three Chicago-area men are facing federal charges for distributing the synthetic pot.
