Illinois State Police to Begin Collecting Unwanted Prescription Drugs Year-Round

Illinois State Police will begin collecting unwanted prescription drugs year-round in an effort to reduce the number of people getting hooked on pills they find in their own homes.

The “Save A Star Drug Awareness Foundation” made a donation to set up drop-off receptacles at five state police headquarters around the state… although none are in the immediate Springfield area.

The five locations are Des Plaines, Elgin, Joliet, LaSalle and Collinsville.
