Illinois health officials are racing the clock to find the source of synthetic cannabis that has sickened dozens of people… and is now blamed for at least two deaths.
The product is plant-based material that has been sprayed with chemicals to simulate the high from marijuana.
But authorities believe the batch of the product in question has been laced with rat poison, causing severe bleeding in users.
Now two deaths have been linked to the fake weed. Health experts say you should not use the product… also known as K2 or spice… and if you exhibit symptoms, you should immediately seek emergency medical treatment.
