
Home foreclosures are down dramatically in Illinois… but Illinois still has one of the worst foreclosure rates in the nation.
The number of homes in foreclosure is down 37-percent from a year ago, and has dropped off 19-percent just since January.
One expert at the University of Illinois says a lack of housing inventory has prompted people to be more inclined to buy up foreclosed properties… properties which not too long ago would have been viewed as “tainted.”
