‘Pepperoni Pizza’ Isn’t A Code Word When Dialing 911

The Los Angeles Police Department is claiming that a social media post going around that claims to say “pepperoni pizza” during a 911 call is code for “send help” is not true.

The post reads, “If you need to call 911 but are scared to because of someone in the room dial and ask for a pepperoni pizza.” People are then told to act like they are ordering and ask how long delivery will take so they know when the cops will arrive.

However, LAPD said texting 911 is a much better option and providing your exact location and what the emergency is.
