Springfield police have made an arrest in the apparent homicide of a 65-year-old man.
Officers were asked to do a welfare check Friday at the residence in the 2100 block of East Capitol and found the body of Stanley Seawood inside. Police say he had wounds on his upper body that were “non-accidental.” He was pronounced dead at the scene.
In the course of the investigation, detectives identified 49-year-old Michelle Moreno, also of the 2100 block of East Capitol, as a person of interest. After questioning, she was arrested and is being held on $500,000 bond.
