Springfield police are investigating the death of a 65-year-old man in what they are calling a homicide investigation.
Officers were asked to do a welfare check at the resident in the 2100 block of East Capitol and found the man inside. Police say he had wounds on his upper body that were “non-accidental.” He was pronounced dead at the scene.
