There could be competing rallies Saturday at the Statehouse on the issue of guns.
A local version of the “March for Our Lives” will take place at noon Saturday at the Lincoln Statue in front of the Capitol. Students and others will gather to demand action to protect schools from gun violence.
At the same time, the Illinois State Rifle Association plans its own Statehouse rally in support of gun rights.
