Governor Bruce Rauner will face J.B. Pritzker in the November general election.
But where Pritzker had a relatively easy night, coasting to a double-digit win over Daniel Biss and Chris Kennedy… Rauner had a nailbiter, scoring a narrow victory over Jeanne Ives by a margin of less than four percent.
Rauner says it’s now time for Republicans to come together to fight Pritzker… who Rauner says is Mike Madigan’s handpicked candidate. Pritzker is vowing to push a progressive agenda to undo what he calls the damage of the Rauner years.
