Springfield police are still sorting through an incident that included shots fired, a chase and a car crash. It all began Friday morning near the Popeye’s on South Grand Avenue East.
Police say shots were fired between two cars traveling down the roadway.
Police spotted one of the cars and tried to pull it over, but the car fled at a high rate of speed and crashed near St. Patrick’s School.
No one was injured. Police are now interviewing the occupants of that vehicle to determine what charges may be filed.
