It’s a big day of celebration in Springfield… and one of the worst nights of the year for drunk driving. State and local police are reminding you not to drink and drive on St. Patrick’s Day Saturday.
This year might be a little more active than normal, since Springfield’s annual parade actually falls on St. Patrick’s Day this year.
Extra patrols are planned for Saturday night, so police say you should have a designated driver, or take a cab or an Uber.
