With just days to go until the Democratic primary for governor, frontrunner J.B. Pritzker is trying to fight off a new round of attacks over the money he has in offshore accounts.
Pritzker has long claimed that those accounts were established by his grandfather decades ago, but a Chicago Tribune report this week says some of the offshore accounts benefitting Pritzker were set up within the last decade.
Pritzker insists he does not control those accounts and says their proceeds go to charity. But his Democratic opponents accuse Pritzker of lying and tax-dodging.
