There’s no timeline yet for when Springfield’s Toys R Us store will join the growing list of major retailers to fold up operations here. The nation’s biggest toy store chain announced that it will close all of its stores around the country as it moves to liquidate its holdings.
The shutdown will apparently impact not just the Toys R Us store but also the adjacent Babies R Us store, which is owned by the same company.
A manager at the Springfield store said he had no information on the shutdown process and could not comment.
