Bicentennial Commission Release TV Commercial, ‘1818’ Beer Now Available

The Illinois Bicentennial celebration continues on many fronts.

The state has now released a new 30-second commercial for TV and radio, highlighting some of the people and places that make up the state’s 200-year history.

Meanwhile, Governor Bruce Rauner and Mayor Jim Langfelder were on hand for the formal introduction of the state’s official Bicentennial beer now available in cans. The brew called “1818” and is the creation of Hand of Fate Brewing in Petersburg, and will be distributed around the state throughout the Bicentennial year.
